History
In 2009 Domenico & Roberto think that the moment has come to turn the family business of grape production into a brand that prides itself on excellence. An innovative and exceptional winery producing award winning wines appreciated all over the world.
Watch our in-depth interview on our video interview below to learn more about the winey.
Vines & Terroir of the Tocco da Casauria area
Located between the Majella and Morrone mountains, an area characterised by strong winds that keep the vines healthy and free from diseases. In addition, the wind dries the grapes and allow them to be harvested later than other parts of Abruzzo. This in turn allows the grape to slowly get at the perfect stage of ripeness, expressing more intense flavours in the end product. You can watch with your eyes the beauty of this area in the video below.
The philosophy
“History teaches us to cultivate good ideas, the passion to realize them”. For the Terzini family, it is important to respect the tradition, by cultivating native grapes and growing organically year by year. Their recent investment on the new winery, also demonstrate the importance they are giving to renewable and sustainable energy, utilising technology (i.e. dry ice, wine press in absence of oxygen) as a way to increase the quality of the wines without use of chemicals.
